I woke up on the wrong side of the bed.

I had a hard day yesterday.

I had nightmares all night.
I was grumpy-bum-wife-cranky-woman-of-the-century all morning.
The apartment looked like a tomato went through it. (DAD.)
I was just all around depressed.
the truth: dentists aren't hiring around here.
(lame economy + new grad = no one likes me.)
I'm feeling sooo worthless.
I suppose it's time to look for a job in something other than dental assisting.
But that's lame. I'm an RDA, not a secretary or somesing.
Thanks for reading this bum-bummbity post.
the end.

This adorable bundle of gorgeousness is coming to visit me on Monday.

I could not be more pee-my-pants excited.
And ahem, that is her natural hair color.
I am jealous of her beauty 99.99999% of eternity.

Can't wait to see you bracita!!!

JuJu Berri with my mister pilot man.

When we walked in, all the girls turned to stare at John.
I told you you look extra handsome in your pilot uniform.
And he's all mine.
YUM.

Spring is when you feel like whistling even with a shoe full of slush.

Ramsie and I took a long walk today. It's a beautiful day.
It's 85 degrees and a little overcast. All the tree blossoms are starting to bloom with color.
I love springtime.

It's my first spring in Arizona and my favorite time of year.

Love is a whole life.

What a mighty mighty good man.

Dear John,

Thank you for working like a mad man this week. You are so talented and hardworking. I love watching you get ready for work. You look so handsome in your pilot uniform.
In answer to your question: yes, I will move wherever your career may take us. I want to move back to Utah but I will go where you think is best.

I trust you completely.

I can't wait for you to get home so I can give you a big smooch and make you a late dinner.

Love,
your Danika

Words to live by.

Dear Aubrey,

Thanks for this hat. It's a real doozy and I love it.

I love vintage white.

This birdcage was my grandmother's.
It was brown and had a bird in it that chirped when you turned a switch.
I painted it my favorite color.

Love letter from the computer.

Dear Danika-

ur a hottie! The guy over on the couch sends his love. He thinks you're a hottie, too. he may not be able to crunch numbers and entrap your gaze with pages and pages of news/email/blogs like I can, so... what chances does a little laptop like me have with a sexy goddess like you? I can give you lovin like you'd never believe. The way you look at me drives me crazy. Just thought id let you know.

The day we lost 104 minutes of our lives.

The Day the Earth Stood Still = dumbest movie of the year.

After the credits rolled, John sighed:

"How about a movie called, The Day Everyone Started Burping Instead of Talking. At least that could have some substance to it."

Who does John's silhouette look like?

Friday, April 17, 2009

Love actually is all around us.

Watched Love Actually for the first time. Loved it ginormously.
Except the ending.
Dumb.

Today John told me to go to the mall and buy something for myself.
How tweet.
I bought him a pair of shorts instead. They were on sale!
Plus, 120 degrees is coming up really soon.
And I want him to be as cozy as possible.

Yesterday we went to a tea party.

We drove to Phoenix Capitol for the tea party and expressed our freedom of speech. It felt mega great. John came up with the posters. Lots of people loved the yellow one. HA!
We also sent a postcard to Obama saying,

Yo bro, chill with the bailouts and nix the new taxes.
PS. While you're at it, go ahead and slow your roll and get Romney in there to fix things up.
Thanks. Lots of love,
Popes

Here we are keeping it real.

John and I stay up late staring at each other until 2 or 3AM.
It's a party.

Mirror mirror on the wall, I am my mother after all.

When John and I first got married, I decided I wanted 3 kids. Two boys and a girl. Perfect.

Of course my dearest mammacita is all, "dude Keeks, I'm waiting for you to burst with triplets. Then maybe 12 more kiddies will do. But don't stop until you've got a 15 passenger van packed with my grandchildren."

And I'm all, "Yes mother, whatever you say."

Then last week, here's what happened:

I decided I want 7 children. Not 3. Not 12. Not 47. Just seven.

JUST SEVEN??? You say.

Listen, I am my mother, after all.

And that's how I like it.

PS. John said he wouldn't mind 7 children. As long as it's not all at once. Amen.

It's good to remember.

Dear diary, this is the sum for the day.

-The mister applied to a corporate job in Grand Junction Colorado. It's only about 4 hours away from home. That would be perfection.
-The weather in Arizona boosts my mood in a major way. I wish Utah was more sunny.

-John and I watched Schindler's List last night. It's the only time I've seen John cry in a movie. (But don't tell him I told you.)

-Our house feels more and more empty as the days go by. Thinking of a John Jr. or little Keeks makes my heart skip a beat. A bundle of blue eyed blonde sounds just about right.

-I am reading The Proper Care & Feeding of Husbands. I have a disease where I can't finish my books. I stop about 10 pages from the end and put the book away. I've done this with almost every book I've ever read including Twilight's last book, Breaking Dawn. What the weird?

-John is the #1 husband of infinity and I'm going to make him the fattest dinner you've ever seen.

The funeral of my darling grandmother Hall.

My sisters and I made our headbands using my grandmas lace and jewelry. It was Brittney's idea to make them and to give one to all the girls in the family.

Brittney, Aubrey, Katelyn, Aunt Lisa, Sara Lee, Mom, Brooklyn.

John, William, Dallin, Colton, Justin, Jarom, Joel.

The beautiful Brittney.
My grandma's funeral was beautiful. The whole service gave me so much peace. As I listened to my family speak and my darling husband sing, "Be Still My Soul" all I could think was how wonderful my family is and how grateful I am for the hope of eternal life.

Happy Easter.

But...

I am dying to see my man.

It has been waaaaaaayyy too long.

See you tomorrow mister pilot man that I LOVE.

Welcome to Groogen yay hay.

John is flying to Oklahoma right now allll by his lonesome in a Duchess airplane thinger. I am still in Utah with my family. This has been an excellent week spent with lots of family that I haven't seen in ages.

I have decided for shizzle: I want to move back to Utah. John does too so I guess that seals the deal. We are going to figure it out asap because I just want to be near family. I know what they say about Utah girls and how they always end up wanting to come back home.

That's me.
